Ask the Veterinarian/bumps on face

Question
my 1 year lab has a few bumps around his lips and toward his whiskers. they are red wart looking bumps and some are similar to pimples with a white pusy center some are bloody like they have been "popped". he was bit by a snake a year ago in the same area and i wondered if it could have anything to do with it. could it be numb there where the snake got him. he sat all night before we knew he had been bitten and then got treatment. (it was a copperhead)

Answer
This is most likely a bacterial infection, which is very common in labs with food sensitivities.  Ask your vet if your dog has an infection, and if he does, put him on antibiotics for 2 weeks to see if the pustules will go away. Sometimes changing the diet or the food bowls will also help.
