hi i have himalayans and they are itching and shake there heads and i itch some time also with little red dots they have no fleas i took to the vet one of them is losing weight and itching and shakig head the vet said no ear mites no fleas they did a blood panel on the one losing weight and they said it was normal but her coat look awful any ideas to help me and they all are itching and shaking head but they said they did not see sign of ringworm i am going crazy ANy advise wou;d be great thankyou sandra

MAny cats with itchy ears actually have skin allergies.  Cats rarely get infections, like dogs, but they get middle ear infections.  If the skin is bad, ask the vet if your cat can have a steroid shot.  It helps the skin and ears as well as stimulating appetite in cats.
