Question
Hi my yellow lab has a bad ear infection and she has been shaking her head and fluid has run into her ear lobe and has caused a tumer to grow where the fluid is. I am taking my dog to the vet  on wednesday and I was wonding what my options were.

Thank you for your time.

Andrew

Answer
If there is a tumor in the ear, that requires surgery.  Depending on the type of infection, they may want to flush the ear and use antibiotics.  If there is a ruptured eardrum, they may want to do a deep flushing of the middle ear.  Treatment depends on what they find.
