About Hilary Schiavone-Brensinger Expertise I am very knowledgable in small animal health, care, and behavior. I have five cats, three ferrets, two birds, and a dog of my own, so I have a very broad spectrum in different domesticated species. Hilary, birds do not fertilize eggs. Bird eggs are either fertile or infertile at the time they are laid. The male copulates with the female. Not exactly penetration but close to it. Not that much different than most animals...including human beings.
