I feel that you didn't answer her question either because my long haired Chihuahua just had a pure white poop.  It was fairly light and had some of the grass in it that she had previously eaten.  I was wondering if it could have been cheese that caused it because she had a small amount but 2 days in a row.

She was crying before she went poo and then you could see that she was relieved afterward.

The answer, though very informative has too much information. The question is very clear - white mucus and lighter colored feces.



My dog had the same symptom today. He had lost some weight and appetite a few weeks ago but now is back.



The stool is not soft. No signs of diarrhea but the color was brown to almost white. The white portion is wrapped with a lighter, somewhat cloudy white, soft gel around it.



Can you tell me if this is something to be alarmed about?



The vet here says is ok.



In Asia, dogs roamed on the streets. But my dogs stays in the house and only runs on the park.



They eat dog food but everyday, they seem to have their regular supply of cooked rice with either chicken, fish or meat. They also eat vegetables, which I don't see very often with dogs in US, Canada or Europe.
