Question
How do I remove ticks from my dogs muzzle and ears without risking infection?

Answer
I recommend that you get something called FRONTLINE SPRAY.  It is available from most vets.  Ticks dig their mouthparts into the skin and latch on.  The insecticide will cause the tick to retract its mouthparts and then after an hour or so, it will detach and you can pick it off the skin.  If you are having a problem with ticks, there is a collar called PREVENTIC that can be put on that is an effective tick repellant.
