My pug/beagle mix has been itching a lot lately. She does not have fleas. I have tried bathing her in oatmeal, giving her Benadryl, but nothing works. Today I noticed that she has spots all over her skin. And some are very dark. Any ideas
Without an examination, I cannot tell you why the dog is itchy. It could be an allergy to something or it could be a parasite like mange mites. It might be infected with bacteria or yeasts, too. Have your vet look at the skin to tell you what can be done.
