Question
2 days ago my dox chewed up a wooden spoon. he is a chocolate lab aprox 8 months old. yesterday he started eating grass and throwing it up. today he wont eat and has a hard time keeping down water. he just mopes. i can tell he wants to feel better. i am worried that he may have ate some of the wood off the spoon. i just got him about 10 days ago and he was fine until this morning. everybody wants my money. i appreciate your free service. there are others like you that advertise free questions, but then you have to pay for the answers. anyway, thank you for any advise you can give.

Answer
Puppies eat anything. Sometimes things can pass right though and sometimes pieces break off and get stuck.  I like to feed them Metamucil powder in some food to coat foreign material so it passes through the intestines easier.  If he doesn't respond, he may need to see a vet.
