I was wondering if the world was around for millions of years why the bible only dates back 4to6 thousand years?And that being asked how did God create the word in seven days when science proves otherwise. I used to go to church but as i got older I started to wonder what is really going on

What's really going on is called deception

There are two views according to whether you accept God used evolution over millions of years (not scriptural) or created the world six thousand years ago (Scripture)

God said he took the dust of the Earth, we don't know what that means, and created the Earth as we see it now. There is no proof that the process is as science says it is, it is just a theory and one that is becoming increasingly more difficult to prove conclusively. I favour God's view because that is the only definitive view we have. No one has disproven what the Bible says.
