Question
How can you know that you are beyond a shadow of a doubt in God's will?

Thank you so much!!!!

Answer
Emma,

WOW! What a deep and insightfull question! This is a question that theologians have pondered for centuries. Though I do not claim to know more then our Christian forefathers knew, I will be happy to give my thoughts on this subject.

First and foremost, a Believer knows as you said "...beyond a shadow of a doubt..." they are in the will of God when they are following clearly defined mandates/commandments/ordnances/teachings/principles taught in the Holy Scriptures. For example, the Bible clearly teaches that the murder of the innocent is wrong. Therefore to obtain from murdering someone is to know "...beyond a shadow of a doubt..." they are in the will of God. Those things that the Bible clearly lays out for us is the surest way to know your in His will.

Everything else (those things that are not clearly defined mandates/commandments/ordnances/teachings/principles taught in the Holy Scriptures) is subject to the Christian following the direction of the Holy Spirit in their own personal lives. The Holy Spirit will lead Believers through our inward thoughts and feelings. Of course, these are always subject to the Word of God.

Christians also find the will of God by simply following the leading of the Holy Spirit, and trusting Him to guide them. If you will, as we walk through this life fully trusting in Christ and His Word, situations and cercumstances will "seaminly" dictate our direction. But as Christians we know God is in control of all things, and He is using these situations to guide us into His perfect will.

Emma, I do hope that this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Experience

I gave my heart to the Lord a few months after being married during a revival meeting. A few weeks later I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and I have not been the same since! In those twenty five years we have only attended one church (Harvest Church), and there I have served there as an Elder for fourteen years. We minister in song with the choir and worship team. I am also the new member’s class coordinator, men's ministry director, and the Harvest Riders motorcycle ministry president. In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.

Organizations
I am ordained through Harvest Church, and with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship. I also am a licensed minister with the State of Oklahoma.

Education/Credentials
I am currantly enrolled with the Ames Bible College.
