Question
1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Whether this is just a story or true or not why would Jesus
not destroy the Devil when he was abbised,why does he let him out to do more damage has he not done enough? why is he released and not destroyed

Thank you for the opportunity to help.
The simple answer is that the people who will be born during the "thousand year millennial" reign of Christ will also be given an opportunity to accept or reject Christ. During the 1000 years they will not know the temptation of satan. It is after this time that Christ will deal with satan permanently.

In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.
