Question
QUESTION: Hi Greg

Can you give me you interpretation about this verse. Particularly about the linen clothes and why JESUS left 'em the way HE did. What was HE trying to tell us ?

Luke 24:12 (New King James Version)
12 But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying[a] by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

Thank You Greg
GOD BLESS
Ray M.

ANSWER: Bro Ray,

Good to hear from you again my Brother! Hope all is well with you and yours.

As to your question, I believe that Jesus was trying to tell His disiples (and us) something. You see, the clothes lay by themselves, without the body, in one place; and the napkin about his head was wrapped together, and lay in another place by itself: so that it was a plain case, the body was not stolen, nor taken away; for neither friends, nor foes, would have taken the pains, or have lost so much time, as to have stripped the body, but would rather have carried off the clothes along with it.

Great question.

God bless.

QUESTION: Hi Greg

Thank You first of all, for clearing up that question for me.

Several months ago my Pastor said this to the congration;
Of course I'm parphasing here.

The Pastor said," . . . when they enter the tomb they seen the lines in the shape of JESUS' body but without JESUS."

Now that sounded to me a little bit crazy. It NEVER said that in the Bible. I went to go see my Pastor and he seems somewhat up-set with me.

He looked-up what is was to clarify the question and said such and such as to why the lines looked like JESUS' shape was still in the lines.

Bro. Greg. Question(s) Please

1. Is there any explantion to this point of view in the Bible ?

2. What is your take on this statement my Pastor told the congruation ?

On another note Greg, I'm just recouperating for a Kidney removal due to Cancer. It was a Horrible Agonizing experience. But the good Lord JESUS has brought me with it so far. Battling with a Staph Infection that almost killed me. However, JESUS over came that for me. At the time I'm being healed little by little by the Lords Hand. Praise the Lord JESUS CHRIST.

Thank You Greg for helping in the past and hopefully in the future.

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Bro. Ray

ANSWER: Bro Ray,

I can find nothing in the Scriptures that say anything out the "lines" in the burial clothes looking like the form of Jesus.

As to him saying this, perhaps he has his reasons. However, there is nothing wrong in asking your Pastor about this (in a respectful manner of course).

Know that I have been, and will continue to pray for your speedy recovery.

God bless.

QUESTION: Bro. Greg

Thank You so much for straightening me out about the lines and the way JESUS left an answer. That's proof enough for me the way you believe that JESUS left a message that HIS body wasn't stolen.

Now about my pastor and him saying that the outline of JESUS' body was within the EMPTY LINEN.
Wound you confirm that the statement is wrong ?

As for me Bro. Greg, on Jan.5th I had a cancerous right kidney removed and still recovering from the operation.

But JESUS is so wonderful beyond my small mind to comprehend,HE is healing me day by day. What a blessing this experience is.

GOD BLESS YOU BRO.GREG

Answer
Bro Ray,

Yes, I would say that this is an incorrect statement. However, I am by no means perfect and perhaps he knows something I don't.

And as I said before, I am standing in agreement with you for a speedy recovery.

God bless.

Experience

I gave my heart to the Lord a few months after being married during a revival meeting. A few weeks later I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and I have not been the same since! In those twenty five years we have only attended one church (Harvest Church), and there I have served there as an Elder for fourteen years. We minister in song with the choir and worship team. I am also the new member’s class coordinator, men's ministry director, and the Harvest Riders motorcycle ministry president. In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.

Organizations
I am ordained through Harvest Church, and with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship. I also am a licensed minister with the State of Oklahoma.

Education/Credentials
I am currantly enrolled with the Ames Bible College.
