Assembly of God/Nepotism in the church

Question
Is it allowed in an AoG church for only the Pastor's family to be able to hold a position such as teaching class or playing music, even as far as removing someone who has held a position for a number of years to be replaced by their teenager?

Answer
Hi Linda

In the AoG the Pastor is the leader. Sometimes even a Pastor can be blind. I expect you are speaking about events in a small church and certainly such things should not happen. Sometimes the only way to make way for fresh blood, Pastor's child or not, is to move a person who has served for a long time. I can only counsel you that if you don't like the decisions being made in a particular church, seek another fellowship so that you will not develop a negative and critical spirit
