Assembly of God/Fairies And Magical Godmothers

QuestionQUESTION: I recently got rid of a postcard my Sister sent me of the Magical kingdom of Disney. After looking at all that was on it, I realized it had a great deal to do with magic and other things not of God. On my microwave I have a sticker, one of those decals of Disney with the fairy with her wand over the castle. Is she blessing it, I don't really know. Is it wrong of me to want to keep it, as a reminder of my childhood, or should I throw it away also? I guess I should, but I need a second opinion. Is it just a make believe fairy that is just for fun, or is it offensive to God? I would Appreciate your input on this matter.
ANSWER: Hi Roger
I have long though that Disney was working for the kingdom of darkness because their emphasis is always on the occult. The question of whether the image you have is a craven image really depends on how important it is to you but blessings come from God not fairies. In a situation like this I am reminded about those New Testament Christians, Acts 19.19, who burnt their very valuable books because of their occultic association. Many people in the world have beliefs that do not honour God and are steeped in pagan religions, fairies come from that source and the stories of fairies are really stories about witchcraft. Scripture tells us there is a time to put aside the things of childhood and come to maturity

QUESTION: I know this is going to sound strange, but I feel almost and always have felt almost obsessed with keeping that decal. I heard something whisper to me, (say I'm crazy, it's OK, anyone else would too) keep it, it does not bother God,it is too valuable for you to throw away. Why I don't know, but every time I think of taking that decal down and throwing it away, a dread comes over me. Also, the picture frame I had the postcard in, kept falling and falling off the wall until the glass cover on it shattered. I bought another picture frame for it, even though I felt it was wrong to do so. The evil presence in my front room is gone now that that postcard and the frame it was in went into the trash. God help me, I need to get rid of that decal, and I am afraid to do so. I will though, so as not to offend God, no matter how afraid I am of doing so.
AnswerHello Roger
It seems that image has more to it than you thought, if it is a source of unreasoning fear, then know this; God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.2 Timothy 1:7 ... so yes definately get rid of it whether it is valuable or not. Keeping that image may actually be a blockage in your spiritual life, replace it with something godly so that whenever you see it you can meditate on it
I once had an unreasoning fear in my life and I overcame it by knowing what God has said. The Word is powerful so when you get rid of that decal pray that Scripture put your name in it. "God has not given Roger a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, In the authority of the name of Jesus Christ the strong son of God I demand that this spirit of fear leave and never return."
