Assembly of God/license and ordination

Question
What are the acedemic and other requirements to become licensed and also to become ordained. What are the differences and what offices and authority do they govern.
Which one will allow a minister to perform marriages, conduct religious services such as memorial, burial, baptism etc.
I am not looking to become a full fledge pastor, but to be an extened hand as a community chaplain in a more offical capacity as the need might arise from time to time in certain situations.
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Pam

requirements will differ from place to place. Usually graduation from a course of theological studies is required for a provisional ministry certificate to be issued. Ordination, that is the laying on of hands when a minister takes up an appointment, is performed as a recognition of acceptance of pastoral responsibilities.

You should consult the AoG as to their requirements in your state
