 "Will God's Kingdom make the earth a paradise?

My understanding is this

We will be given a new heaven and a new Earth however before this time there will be a tribulation and much of the population perhaps all will be lost. When Jesus returns those who are believers will be removed caught up to him and evil will be dealt with.
