Question
We all know that God forbids homosexual acts but loves homosexual persons. If a homosexual couple in a faithful monogamous relationship later repent of their sexual behaviour but continue in their special bonding (like a couple), yet without involving in any sexual and physical intimate acts with each other anymore, is their relationship still consider a sin? Does the Bible forbid homosexual acts or even special relationship and bonding (non-sexual) between homosexual persons?

Answer
Hi Mary

The Lord forbids homsexual acts, but this situation requires the wisdom of Solomon. The reality is the couple are placing themselves in a place of temptation. The relationship which you describe would, if you were speaking of a hetrosexual couple, be called a Pauline relationship. The advice which would be given to a hetrosexual couple in the same situation is seperate so that you are not tempted.

Let's also understand that homosexuality is not the unforgiveable sin, but Christianity clearly views it as a lifestyle choice, and while ever you remain in the lifestyle you are giving the world a clear message that you think this lifestyle is ok, and clearly it is not.
