Asthma - asthma and wallpapers

Expert: Marc Rubin, RPh AE-C - 8/9/2008

Question
Hello!
I am a 35-year old man, suffering from moderate asthma which I efficiently treat with 200 mcg of Pulmicort daily. As a design fanatic I love wallpapers. Am I permitted to place one in my apartment?

Thank you

Answer
Hi Apostolos,

I would not expect a problem if the adhesive used is rated low in VOC's (volatile organic compounds). The supplier should be able to provide that information for you. There may be some odor from the glue used, but as long as you keep the area well ventilated, you should be okay.

Enjoy the new decor.

Marc
