Asthma/asthma problem

Question
Hello,

I'm sorry this is an embarassing question but its a serious question. I have asthma, and I recently talked to my pulmonologist because my chest was tight whenever I masturbated. He told that this is not scientifically possible. I can't be mistaken because whenever I masturbate I have difficulty breathing when its not tight at first. Is this asthma, or could it be something else? This seems very odd because my asthma is usually fine, since I play sports.

Answer
Jase,

One of the triggers of asthma is emotion: laughing, crying, getting excited, etc., can all lead to bronchospasm. In addition, with the activity, your breathing rate increases, having a drying effect on the air passages, making them more "twitchy". It may be of benefit to have a humidifier in the room.

Hope this helps.
