Is mucus in chest symptom of asthma?

Hi Zafar,

Mucus in the chest is a symptom of a number of different things, asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease:COPD (90% of which is caused by smoking), bronchitis, bacterial or viral infections, lung irritation due to chemicals,pollution or dust in the air you breath, allergies, etc. It is very non-specific.
