Question
I am wonering some of the symptoms of asthma.  They say she has asthma, anxiety and is hypoglyscemic? I am wondering why her arms are going numb when she has an attack? The things just don't make sense to me is there possibly some type of neuorlogic disorder? please let me know asap!

Answer
Hi Keri,
All of the things you have listed could potentially cause numbness in the extremities. If she is not getting enough oxygen, this could cause numbness and it would be good to get a pulse ox reading to see what the oxygen level is in her blood. Anxiety commonly causes numbness during anxiety attacks. Hypoglycemia could also produce numbness/tingling if her blood sugar drops too low. Neurological disorders can produce numbness, though they are rare. It would be best to talk to your physician to rule out any other problems.
