AnswerJess,
The best thing for treatment of asthma is to follow the course of action that your doctor suggessts. Take any medications he prescribes every day and avoid the things that trigger your asthma. Try to figure out what type of asthma you have - Exercise induced, Allergy induced..ect as treatment will be slightly different. It is not uncommon to not feel well for a few days. This can happen a few days before or a few days after an attack. You have an asthma attack becuase the airways swell up and get blocked. The swelling and blockage doesnt go away very quickly which can leave you feeling under the weather. It is important though to go to your doctor if you are still feeling this way. He/She will probably do a lung function test where you blow into a little device and it is a good indicator of the seriousness of your asthma and if another attack is likely to occur in the near future.
