QUESTION: Dear Storm,
   My birthdate is March 9, 1949, at about eight in the evening. Some time ago I met a girl named Julie and we dated for about six months. On my 41st birthday, March 9, 1990, we had a terrible fight due to a misunderstanding because of something stupid that I did, and broke up. I recently found out that on that date, Neptune was square my natal Neptune. I remember feeling very strange and confused that entire day, like something terrible was going to happen. Do you think the transit of Neptune might have played a part? Thank you for your answer.

ANSWER: Neptune transit to natal Neptune is an "aging" issue, and part of our process of becoming.   It takes several years for it to work itself out, so I probably would not equate that to your relationship breakup. However, at the time of the breakup transiting Uranus was squaring your Neptune, which Uranus can often breakup and disrupt whatever it is that we hold dear to us.    Just remember as a rule of thumb, although outer planets are in our charts, they take an enormous amount of time to transit and as such usually do not effect our day to day lives if the are transited.   Usually, it would be a transit to your personal planets that would effect your personal life.

 Thanks for your answer, but I had more question. I know the outer planets move slowly, but Neptune was EXACTLY square my natal Neptune that day. Couldn't that have accounted in part for my sense of strangeness and confusion?

Answer
Anything in the chart could be a result of your sense of strangeness and confusion, and considering the aspects that the Moon were making on that day, I am more leaning towards the Moon.  Neptune does things over time, and it does not usually make someone feel something in their inner life, it usually is reflected in the outer life.
