QUESTION: how can we counter the ill effects of luner nodes in 1st and 7th house!!As a matter of fact of any malafic planet in 7th house.is it possible.

ANSWER: Dear Prerna,

I think you may be talking about Sidereal or Vedic astrology, which I do not use.

In Western/Tropical astrology, which I do use, the lunar nodes  
are not malefic in the 1st and 7th houses, or any houses.
Rather, they describe where you need to focus your energies to grow and evolve (North Node), and where you need to avoid
focusing your attention in order to not get stuck in a rut (South Node).

As far as any other malefic planet in the 7th house, Western astrology does not look at any planet as malefic. Every planet has both positive and negative attributes, so the way to avoid the negative is to focus on the positive, and learn the lessons the planet is trying to teach you.

QUESTION: thanks for your reply.so u mean to say if i have my north node in first house then i need to focus more on my self and my personal growth and since my north node is in 7th house so i need to divert my attention from my married life???but then how can be my married life good if i do so??

Dear Prerna,

I'm a bit confused. You said your North Node is in the first house, AND in the seventh house? Or did you mean that one of those is your South Node? It sounds like you meant the South
Node in the seventh, so I will discuss that.

If you mean North Node in first, South Node in seventh:
This means that you need to focus on your own perceptions.
It does not mean you cannot be married, but it does mean that marriage must not be your main focus. Relationships for  
a South Node in the seventh house person must be welcomed when they occur, and given some attention, of course...but if you give your main focus to your relationships, then you will end up in a rut, and your relationships will end up stagnating.  Focusing on your own growth instead will allow your relationships to grow with little effort on your part.

Some people need to make their relationship the center of their world. Others need to have a partner who can travel with them as they go through life.  There is a difference.
