About Zane B Stein
Expertise
I WILL BE HAPPY TO answer questions about astrology in general, the meanings of planets, signs, houses, aspects, asteroids, Chiron, etc. I use Western, Tropical Astrology. Please do not ask me questions about Vedic Astrology as I am not an expert on this.

I WILL NOT ANSWER PERSONAL QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR INDIVIDUAL CHART, such as "Will I get rich?" or "Will I get married?", or "Are we compatible?" I do have a private astrological practice, and if you need to ask those type of questions, contact me privately and we`ll discuss a possible astrologer/client relationship. Also, I cannot answer questions about Vedic Astrology, or Chinese Astrology.

Also, astrology is NOT "What is my lucky stone?" or "What is my lucky color?" or "What are my lucky numbers?" Any astrologer who gives you a lucky object, or number, based on your chart, is not a real astrologer, but someone who is giving in to superstition. In order to find out how to enhance your luck, you need to have an astrologer look at your whole chart, and tell you what areas you need to focus upon, how to accent your positives, and work to resolve any problems that exist.

Experience
I've been involved with astrology since 1969, taught classes on several occasions, written a number of articles and one book, and lectured around the USA, in Canada, Great Britain, Scotland and Ireland.

Subject: solar return

Question
I am reviewing my solar return and it looks hideous.  Virgo asc with saturn sitting on it.  a stellium in the 6th, I fear it means illness.  Do you think the theory of relocating for a time could change this, and if so what direction would you recommend I switch Saturn too.  Oh merc. is rx in this mix too.

Answer
Hi, Amandria,

First, please note that astrology's purpose is to provide guidance. If instead it stirs fears, then one is not using it as it should be used.

With that in mind, let's talk first about relocating for your solar return.  Yes, this is a valid technique. Successful financial astrologer, Ray Merriman, has done this for years. He always plans his birthdays so they will take place were the best solar return charts occur for financial
matters.

What will relocation do?  It will move the Sun, Moon, and planets to different houses, thus changing the emphasis for the year ahead.
What will relocation not do?  The aspects between planets will not change.  If your solar return has a square between two planets, or Mercury is retrograde, these will be true no matter where on earth you celebrate your birthday.
Thus, the method would be to find the planets make the best aspects in your return chart, and emphasize them; find the planets making the worst aspects, and make sure they are not
prominent.

You are concerned with Saturn in Virgo on the Ascendant, with a heavy emphasis in the 6th house. The questions arise:
What type of aspects is Saturn making to other planets in the solar return chart? And what aspects does it make to planets in your natal chart?  If the aspects are positive, then Saturn on the Ascendant in Virgo will show a year where you are focusing serious attention on dealing with responsibilities, working hard, and...you may very well experience well-earned respect and advancement.
And the stellium in the 6th....what type of aspects do they make in the return chart, and to your natal planets? If positive aspects, then this may be a year where you are preoccupied with work, or with improving your skills.
If there are a lot of hard aspects, though, then there may indeed be health issues, although with Saturn there, they could easily be from working yourself too hard.

If you want to move Saturn, which direction depends on the whole chart. I like to put Saturn in the 12th, 3rd, 6th or 9th, if I also have something positive I can put on an angle, such as a positive Jupiter.

But also keep in mind that THE most important thing about the Solar Return chart is the location of the Sun, and any aspects to the Sun. Everything else is subsidiary. If you relocate for your birthday, your prime focus is to have the Sun where you want it so it 'shines' on the area of life you
are most interested in focusing on in the year ahead.

I hope that helps.

Best wishes,
Zane
