Dear Bill,

I am wondering if chinese astrology shows there are things that I should be paying particular attention to right now. I'm at a point in my career where I'm getting socially comfortable and that makes me a bit nervous. What are my strenghts and weaknesses professionally? Do I have anything positive going on with the career right now or should I take the comfort feeling as me needing to move on? I'm also wondering what the easiest part of my life will be according to chinese astrology. I'm a wood dog born 10-13-82 in LA Ca at 0124 hours. Thank you for your expertise. Any info will be helpful:)

You were born during the year of the Water Dog, month of the Earth Rooster. day of the Metal Sheep and hour of the Earth Ox.

I am hesitant to answer your question because there appears to be a conflict. Who told you/where did you see that you are a Wood Dog? All my sources say 1982 is a Water year.

I do know there is another modality of Chinese astrology that does have different elements for the years. If that is with what you are familiar, you should probably consult someone who uses that system rather than me.

If you still would like me to comment on your career, please send a follow up question. Also, it would also be helpful if you tell me what career you are now in so I can analyze suitability.
