Astrology/venus in cancer

Question
My venus is in cancer and in my sixth house.  I seem to only see the bad in this placement.  I'm needy, jealous, etc.  Are there any good things about this placement?

Venus in the 6th house as an isolated example (in other words, not considering what aspects or conjunctions she recieves, or where the owner of the 6th house is, or what lunar or occult zodiac she is in)...

A positive effect is that you can overcome your enemies with charm and graciousness, or with artistic flair. If Venus is strong it will indicate good health.

I actually believe the neediness should be related more to your 4th house than your 6th. The 6th concerns daily obstacles, enemies, and health. The 4th concerns emotional satisfaction.
