I've dated a girl for about 8 months now, and we even confessed our love for
each other. We broke up on Dec. 2nd and she is still trying to figure out if we
will get back together and what kind of relationship she EVEN wants. She's
been dealing with a major aspect that  I figured out with a Saturn Square
Jupiter, that started at the end of Novemember and will go to August 2009.
When I read about what it's doing to her, it made sense why we broke up and
why she's restless and she can't figure out what to remove or change in her
life, and the aspect (from astro.com) told me that she would be making hasty
decisions and that she needs to not make blind decisions by reaction through
frustration.
I feel she did this when we broke up. She's been very lost and still talking to
me by email, she changed her phone number, but might be trying to mend
things slowly but surely with me through email. I wish we could talk over the
phone.....
anyway....this is unlike her since this whole aspect has come up....we've been
very compatible, almost perfect for each other, and we've had some pretty
great memories we've shared making each other happy.
What I'm wondering, is, what can she do to over come and defend herself
against this aspect of saturn square jupiter during the time it will be around
until August, while also giving me and her a chance again at being together?
she's afraid of any commitment now and I don't want to lose her! Amanda was
born at 8:30 a.m. in Twin Falls Idaho on June 21st 1989 and I was born Feb.
24th, 1983 at 6:25 P.M. in Caldwell Idaho.

This is an thorough question, and I do not offer full readings on this site... Following is a short - that ended to be long :( - response...

Regarding your relationship with Amanda, it would be good to take a look at basic compatibility factors.

Regarding Amanda's chart, I took a quick look, and her Jupiter is indeed under a Saturn square... I think though that the more important transit is Pluto opposite her Sun, it is a major one...

I would recommend though to NOT look at one single transit and come up with interpretations... I love Astro.com, but the rule #1 in astrology is to look at the Natal chart to gauge what will be the impact of a given transit.  For example, I never pay much attention to Jupiter's transits to my Sun, because they do not have any rulerships link and are not aspected in my natal chart... The effects are minor for me... For Sagittarians or people with a predominant Jupiter in their chart, that would be a totally different story.

You are also asking for advice regarding how Amanda should deal with this transit... Once again, we would need to take a look at her chart to see how Saturn transit impacts her, what areas of her life are affected.  

I also saw that her progressed chart has some interesting aspects coming up...Venus conjunct ac, which put relationships in the forefront...
