I was born in February 28, 1985 FYI. Astrology and such always interested me, so I would like to finally figure it all out ! :)

I see people talking-writing about 'houses' and some 'ascendants', but don't know how you find those out?

What is the significance of those and other as such?

How do I read my astrology?

Can you give me an example with explanations of February ?

Also, would you be able to tell if someone born 12/28/1979 is compatible with me? Or if you can show me how to check myself?

It takes time to figure it all out, so have patience. :)

Houses are the 12 spaces around the horoscope/natal chart in which the planets and other heavenly bodies are situated, based on the birth data. The houses make up the basic natal chart. Each person's basic chart is different. Each house has specific meaning. Look at the planet, then the sign, then the house.

The Ascendant, or Rising Sign, is a very personal consideration (more so than the Sun sign--Pisces in your case). You need to know your exact time of birth and location to figure your Ascendant. Do a search on-line for "free horoscope" or "free natal chart." There are sites on-line where you can enter your birth data and receive a free, basic natal chart.

The Ascendant is the first house cusp (where the first house starts). It represents the moment of birth, where the eastern horizon (the sign rising at the time of birth) intersects the Ecliptic, which is the Sun's apparent path around the Earth.

How do you read your astrology? Unfortunately, that's a question that requires a very, very long answer--too long for this space. Start with studying the signs, planets, and houses. Stick with non-modern, non-psychological, non-subjective astrology, which is to say, study ancient astrology (I call it ancient, but anything pre-1600s, and of course some later, such as Lilly, and others). It's the best form for character and predictive analysis. My opinion is that astrology during the last couple centuries has been in a bad funk.

Sorry, I can't give you an example regarding February. I don't do readings here, as I say on my AllExperts profile. Besides, one must work with all birth data.

Yes, I could discern levels of compatibility between two people, but again, I don't do readings here, sorry. I can't show you how to check yourself as it takes years to become proficient. It's like asking a doctor, "could you just show me briefly how to diagnose this particular health concern?" :) See what I mean?
