About Zane B Stein
Expertise
I WILL BE HAPPY TO answer questions about astrology in general, the meanings of planets, signs, houses, aspects, asteroids, Chiron, etc. I use Western, Tropical Astrology. Please do not ask me questions about Vedic Astrology as I am not an expert on this.

I WILL NOT ANSWER PERSONAL QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR INDIVIDUAL CHART, such as "Will I get rich?" or "Will I get married?", or "Are we compatible?" I do have a private astrological practice, and if you need to ask those type of questions, contact me privately and we`ll discuss a possible astrologer/client relationship. Also, I cannot answer questions about Vedic Astrology, or Chinese Astrology.

Also, astrology is NOT "What is my lucky stone?" or "What is my lucky color?" or "What are my lucky numbers?" Any astrologer who gives you a lucky object, or number, based on your chart, is not a real astrologer, but someone who is giving in to superstition. In order to find out how to enhance your luck, you need to have an astrologer look at your whole chart, and tell you what areas you need to focus upon, how to accent your positives, and work to resolve any problems that exist.

Experience
I've been involved with astrology since 1969, taught classes on several occasions, written a number of articles and one book, and lectured around the USA, in Canada, Great Britain, Scotland and Ireland.

Subject: Uranus conjunct 12th house stellium, Saturn, Merc & Chiron

Question
Zane on June 29th 2008 I will have Uranus conjunct 12th house stellium, Saturn, Merc & Chiron.  I'm a little nervous about it but I must think positively.  Still... nervous.  Fist instinct when I saw it was that I would be somehow blunder verbally at the convention I will attend at the time, then trip, break my leg and then suffer some type of electrocution that will blast me into disturbing psychic realms.  Can you help put a postive spin on this?  Pretty Please? =)

Answer
Hi, Chris,

Wow, that's some scenario....I don't think poor ol' Uranus deserves such
a panic attack!

First, let's look at Uranus in the sky, though.

Did you know that if night is clear, and you know just where to look, and you have good vision, you can actually see Uranus without a telescope? Which means that, even though Uranus was discovered in 1781, it COULD have been discovered at any time before that, if someone had truly been observant enough.

Translating this into astrology, Uranus (which is said to rule unexpected events, especially by transit), brings things to someone's life that will NOT be unexpected if you are looking with open eyes, seeing clearly, and really wanting to prepare for them.

And by itself, Uranus is just as likely to bring unexpected opportunities as it is to break up things which have outlived their usefulness. The first time I ever had an article bought by a magazine and published was under a Uranus transit. I was looking to be an extra in a movie under a Uranus transit....and zap, the director asked me if I'd like to have a speaking part (of course I said yes, so Uranus brought the first time I ever spoke in a movie.)

BUT, IT'S GOING THROUGH MY 12TH HOUSE, you might protest!  Guess what?
The 12th house has many levels, one of which is UNDEVELOPED TALENTS, UNTAPPED ABILITIES! Often, this is an area where some of your own abilities are hidden from you, or that you are blind to.

Uranus takes several years to go through each house. When did Uranus first enter your 12th? That should have been the beginnings of what Uranus had planned for you. Hitting your 12th house planets will not be out of context with the larger picture...so you can get some idea what the transit will bring by what has been happening so far.

Uranus hitting Saturn? Ever see a person who has been walking with a crutch because their leg was healing reach a point where they no longer need the crutch and throw it away? Saturn is any structure, wall, or crutch that you have relied on, any set of rules for yourself that you have depended on....and Uranus comes along and tests them all, forcing you to throw away the ones that have outlived their usefulness. The only time this is scary is if you try to hold on to a crutch, or clutch on to some security.  Otherwise, it is a very freeing period in time.

Uranus hitting Mercury? Brain on overdrive with one blinding flash after another. Revelations.  Electrifying ideas. Very future oriented.
Not the time to join the conservative party, for sure. Negatives? Running on nervous energy so much that you risk nervous exhaustion....make sure you find time for rest and relaxation no matter how much you feel like running on overdrive. Also, with your mind going so fast, you may find yourself jumping all over, missing some details, jumping to some conclusions....so doublecheck anything important.

Uranus hitting Chiron? This one, I'd take seriously. On one level, this will force you to deal with any old wounds you have not wanted to face....Uranus can stir old pains and make them very real.  (Someone may do/say something which pushes old buttons. If you discover yourself over-reacting to something someone does, getting hurt or angry way out of proportion to the situation....start looking at stuff from long ago, old wounds deep inside.) Uranus is not going to let you
push them back down when they come out....but it's not going to give you new wounds.  The other thing that Uranus hitting Chiron can do is to open up a whole new door for you to self-understanding....showing you a world you may not have been consciouly aware of, and giving you exciting prospects for new directions for personal growth.

Think of Uranus more as a liberator, and look forward to exciting new stuff happening.

Best wishes,
Zane
