Question hi, say a major aspect exists such as sun/merc all opposite uranus in a chart to the exact degree. if the progressed moon goes past the sun/merc combo in the 8th house how would you expect this to set off the opposition?which would be the most powerful influence here?the house?the opposition the uranus factor? it will also co incide with a saturn return but i respect that you do not do personal questions and will not be offended if you do not comment on aspect of it.

First, let's look at what a progressed chart is. You may know that progressions are only symbolic...they are not actual movements in the sky at the moment.
In case you are not clear on this, let me elaborate (and forgive me if I go over something you already know.)
If you take the planets' positions when a person is one day old, they are said to be symbolic of the way a person is growing and evolving at one year of age. Those at ten days symbolize age ten; those at thirty days symbolize the unfolding of the person's life at thirty years.
So you can see, they are nothing like transits. When the progressed Moon goes over the Sun/Mercury combo in your example, it is only a symbolic representation of the changes this person goes through at this time. And likewise, the progressed Moon opposing Uranus only symbolizes the changes as well. Everything a progressed chart refers to was in seed form in birth, unfolding as a person grows up, matures, and continues to grow mentally/emotionally/spirtually throughout life.
Now, the progressed Moon has a cycle of a little less than 28 years. That means that when it is going to make an aspect, 28 years later, it will make the same aspect.
It is interesting to note that the transiting Saturn cycle is around 28 years. Which means that there will be a Saturn return within months of a progressed Lunar Return.
So the person in your example had a progressed Lunar Return not too long prior to the transiting Saturn Return.
This tells me that the progressed Moon to Sun/Mercury, opposition Uranus, has already happened once before, when this person was very little. This shows that this person is entering into a new phase of life.....so the progressions you are describing would be part of the blossoming of new aspects of the personality.
Progressed Moon passing over Sun shows the focus is on expressing the self more...there is a need to be noticed. Progressed Moon over Mercury, likewise, gives a need to be heard. Progressed Moon opposed Uranus shows a strong need to step outside of the box, look in new directions. And because they are in opposition, it shows the person has an inner battle between the need to express themselves, and the need to change the self....so the progressed Moon is going to touch that off and the person will most likely have a strong need to remake themself in some way.
