hi scott,
thanks for the feedback on mars and the progressed planets..t helped
now i wud like to ask abt the ruling planet and the rising planet(by the way is the same or what)
like you know,i have pisces rising meaning neptune is the ruling planet in tenth house.but also mars is in 1st house.so which is actually the ruling planet?and which is stronger or are both of them equal?becoz neptune is in 10th houe does it colour the personality as somewhat capricorn or an arian becoz of mars in 1st?
please assist thanks

Hi Rahul,

Jupiter (rulership) and Venus (exaltation) rule Pisces (and your Ascendant), according to ancient astrology. Neptune is the modern ruler for Pisces. I'd focus on all three, with heavier emphasis on Jupiter, then Venus in your situation. Consider Neptune last.

Mars is not the ruling planet, but it has power by position since it is in an angular house/the first house.

Consider Jupiter and Venus the strongest planets in your basic chart. Jupiter is strongest overall, based on many considerations.

Every house cusp has a ruling planet (or planets). Rising planet is sometimes different, as in this case. Sign rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth was Pisces and Mars was in Pisces.

I wouldn't say Neptune colors the personality as somewhat Capricorn being in the 10th, but I would say that Mars in the first symbolizes some Aries energy, but it's in Pisces, so it's softer.
