Subject: What makes a writer in the chart?

Question
QUESTION: Hi LeLonni,

What makes a writer in the chart? Let me refine this a bit: What makes a person to take up a career in the world of literature as a published writer?

Thanks and regards
RD

ANSWER: Their are many factors to what a person chooses as a career.  Normally an astrologer would look at Mercury as well as Jupiter the third and the ninth house in a chart to see if that person has a talent or interest in writing.  If its a career goal we also look at the career houses, second ,tenth, sixth. The signs Gemini and Sagittarius are the most often found in charts of writers, but other factors are also important.  We have many different types of writers so that brings in even more areas to look at.  Stephen King one of the most proficient writers of our time is a Virgo and one of the more important points to his writing style is the detail he puts into character, who but a Virgo would do that.  He also has a Sagittarius Moon and a busy third house.  His Mercury is conjunct Neptune giving him plenty of creative juice.  Each writer will have a different patter to the chart, but in general Mercury, Jupiter the third and ninth house are where to start looking.

QUESTION: Hi LeLonni,

Thanks for the information! I am sure this question must have been asked to you a gazillion times before :-)

I just checked my chart and found out the following combinations:
1. Sun / Moon/ Mercury in the tenth house. Tightly next to each other.
2. Jupiter in the twelfth house
3. Mars in the ninth house
4. Don't have any planets in the third house. Leo is on the cusp of third house.

And now let me ask you the obvious question. Do I have a one in a million chance of a career in literature? Or atleast, do I have an ability?

I know this question might get a royal ignoer from you! But would love it if you could find a few moments to reply :-)

Also, wonder if I could be a bit more daring and give you my details:

Answer
I have been limiting my questions to those of a generic type but no I do not mind this one, and its good you sent your info as that way I can look at the chart in its entirely, the only way to really look at a chart.  Your correct about your placement, and yes you do have potential you have a very creative nature also so if you could incorporate that into your writing it would do well for you.  I think one of your bigger challenges is getting focused, you have almost to many ideas going through your head. To break down for you what in your chart gives a yes its the following.

1-Your Sun ruler of the third house conjuncts mercury, as does the Moon and as you pointed out its in the tenth of career. The Sun and Moon also make a nice trine to your second house cusp indicating money can be made. The Sun and Moon in the tenth is also an indication of an understandingly what the public wants or will like.
2-You sun and Moon sextile Jupiter the planet of publishing, Jupiter is also the ruler of the seventh so you may consider writing with someone as a partner.
3-The ruler of the ninth, Uranus, makes a wide trine to the Sun and Moon in the tenth but for the sake of this question I would give the influence.
4-Neptune the ruler of your tenth makes a trine to the third house cusp, it also squares the tenth house Sun and Mood, this can indicate huge creativity and intuitiveness but it can also indicate getting side tracked easily.
5-Saturn the traditional ruler of your ninth is in your third

None of this is a slam dunk you need to work at it, but if you do I think you will be rewarded with success.
