About Zane B Stein Expertise I WILL BE HAPPY TO answer questions about astrology in general, the meanings of planets, signs, houses, aspects, asteroids, Chiron, etc. I use Western, Tropical Astrology. Please do not ask me questions about Vedic Astrology as I am not an expert on this.
I WILL NOT ANSWER PERSONAL QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR INDIVIDUAL CHART, such as "Will I get rich?" or "Will I get married?", or "Are we compatible?" I do have a private astrological practice, and if you need to ask those type of questions, contact me privately and we`ll discuss a possible astrologer/client relationship. Also, I cannot answer questions about Vedic Astrology, or Chinese Astrology.
Also, astrology is NOT "What is my lucky stone?" or "What is my lucky color?" or "What are my lucky numbers?" Any astrologer who gives you a lucky object, or number, based on your chart, is not a real astrologer, but someone who is giving in to superstition. In order to find out how to enhance your luck, you need to have an astrologer look at your whole chart, and tell you what areas you need to focus upon, how to accent your positives, and work to resolve any problems that exist.
Experience I've been involved with astrology since 1969, taught classes on several occasions, written a number of articles and one book, and lectured around the USA, in Canada, Great Britain, Scotland and Ireland.

Question Hi.. I have been studying astrology now for at least a couple of years and I discovered some time ago that I have a t-square in my natal chart. I have been researching this and although I have found much information about what a t-square is and how to remedy the problem, I still do not understand how the t-square is affecting me personally in my life. In my natal chart, I believe I have found three
t-squares. So far I have figured out two of them and how they affect my life and how to manage them. The one I do not understand is a t-square between venus in leo (12th house) opposite the moon in aquarius (6th) both square to pluto in scorpio (3rd). I know the solution would be to develop the characteristics in opposition (taurus in 9th house) to the main planet both are squaring, however in my chart I have no planets above the 12th and 6th houses. Everything is below those. My question is I heard it was useful to formulate a solution by incorporating the traits of any planet which sextiles or trines any of the planets. Is this true? Thanks for your time.
Answer Hi, Mike,
You are on the right track, definitely. But resolving T-squares is not easy because they don't come with an operator's manual.
Any planets that trine or sextile the apex planet of the T-square (in your description, Pluto) would be tools you could fall back on to help you tap the T-square energy. If you think about it, anything sextile your Pluto would be trine the opposition point, while anything trine Pluto would be sextile the opposition point. It is aspects to Pluto in your T-square, rather than the Moon or Venus, that should be tapped to assist you.
And yes, the key to a T-square is to learn to integrate the qualities of the sign opposing the apex planet, so as you surmised, "the solution would be to develop the characteristics in opposition (taurus in 9th house)." But it doesn't matter if you have any planets on that half of the chart or not.
There are a number of tools to help you integrate the 'missing' point. Until a person does, however, they often find that the missing point acts like a vortex, trying to pull them in, seemingly out of control. I know a number of people with Taurus as the empty part of a fixed T-square who have trouble with a sensory-based habit, such as overeating, or sexual excess. If you find yourself drawn to some such habit, it is a clear sign that you are letting the T-square control you rather than integrting the energies.
So what are these tools?
1. Probably the best one is to find a friend, or mentor, who has something conjunct your missing Taurus point. This person can teach you a lot about yourself, and help you to learn what you need to integrate into your psyche.
2. Keep a journal, and watch whenever planets transit this Taurus point. Since the Moon is there for a brief while every month, you will have a brief glimpse monthly of the type of energies you need to tap. Sun, Mercury and Venus will highlight this yearly, Mars every other year.
3. Look back over transits of outer planets (Saturn for example was in Taurus as the old century made way for the 21st Century; Jupiter was there in 2000 as well) and examine what was going on in your life during the times these bodies touches this Taurus point in your chart. Likewise, check the times your progressed Moon has reached that Taurus point, or will do so if it has not already.
4. Finally, since the Taurus point is in your 9th house, read, read, read as much as you can on the perspectives of other people, other cultures, other lands. You may be able to get special insight by exploring heavily Taurus countries such as Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden and Russia, as well as such Taurus ruled cities as
Dublin (Ireland), Mantua and Palermo (Italy), Rhodes (Greece) and Leipzig (Germany).
Just remember.....the purpose of our chart is to show us where we need to look to grow and evolve. It's not easy work, but every step you take towards understanding and developing the Taurus qualities within you will give you a good feeling about yourself, so you will know you are on the right track.
