Question
I was born on 24-10-1945. I am told that my personal number is 8. However, I am also told that between Oct. 24, 2007 and Oct. 2008, my year is a 9. And starting Oct, 24, 2008 until Oct. 2009, my year will be a nine,.What repercussions do those numbers have on me? Thank you in advance for your insight,

Answer
Dear Ruth,

Thank you for coming to me with your question.

Your Life Path number is indeed 8, but I must disagree with the person who told you that your Personal Year numbers change on your birth date.  While there are some numerologists who do go by the date of birth for the Personal Year, there are a lot who define the Personal Year as beginning on Jan. 1 and ending on Dec. 31.  I go by the calendar year, instead of reckoning from birthday to birthday.  Using the calendar year, then, we see that your Personal Year number for 2008 is 8, and for 2009 it is 9.

The 8 Life Path is about learning how to be materially successful as far as finances, income, and career status are concerned.  Many 8s find themselves at some point in life in a managerial position, and/or owning their own business.  They are always striving for success, even in the face of setbacks; at least one major setback in life concerning the above-mentioned areas will happen, but the 8 always finds the inner strength to try and try again.  The 8 can sometimes be too focused on work, resulting in a lack of needed involvement with personal relationships of various kinds (especially romantic relationships). Many 8s have a strongly developed sense of understanding the psychological motivations of others, but report feeling misunderstood by others, who may only see the business-like approach that is a part of the 8's nature. Despite this, the 8 cares deeply about his/her loved ones, and often will cite the family's well-being as being the reason why they focus so much on material success. 8s benefit greatly by realizing that it is not all up to them to ensure that everything gets done, and done the "right" way; connecting or re-connecting with a spiritual tradition (usually orthodox religion) is a helpful and popular way for 8s to create the balance that they need in their lives.

Since you are an 8 Life Path having an 8 Personal Year in 2008, all of the issues described in the previous paragraph will come up during the course of the year. Now, you are being given opportunities to make desired progress in these areas, while at the same time you are being given circumstances that test your endurance and self-reliance.  As long as you remember that you must "let go and let God" after you've done all that you can to further your aims.  This is the year to be planting seeds that will bear fruit in the future.

Next year, in 2009, you will be having a 9 Personal Year.  What happens then depends upon what sort of progress you make this year, but I can say that something important will be resolved in your life next year that will have a major emotional impact upon you.  Unlike this year (2008), 2009 will be a year for reaping what has been sown during the past 9 years.

I hope this is useful information for you.

Very best wishes,
Shanda

Expertise

I can answer questions about the qualities and significations of signs, planets, and houses. I can answer interpretive questions that involve judging the effects of the aforementioned items (i.e. signs, planets, and houses) in combination with each other (such as the effects of a planet in a sign, or a planet in a house). I can answer questions about aspects, transits, dasas (planetary periods used in Vedic astrology), progressions, solar return charts, and general natal chart interpretation. I can answer questions about Western (Tropical Zodiac) astrology and Vedic (Sidereal Zodiac) astrology. I can answer questions on love, relationships, family, career, psychology, karma, spirituality, health, and timing of events. I will always do my best to answer both general and specific questions, but there will be some cases in which doing so would be unduly time-consuming due to the complex nature of astrological analysis. In the event that I am unable to answer your question, you may want to consider scheduling a paid consultation; please contact me at themetaartisan@gmail.com for details on this.
