Question
QUESTION: Hi Bill,

I am Red. I was born JANUARY 11, 1978; 6:55PM in Caloocan City, Philippines. To be more detailed, my Four PIllars Chart shows that I was born in the year of the Yin Fire Serpent; the month of the Yin Water Buffalo; the day of the Yin Water Rooster, and the hour of the Yin Metal Rooster. The chart seems to be promising. The Natal element seems to be overly strong and well protected, not to mention a seemingly "double metal harmony triangle", (combination of rooster, buffalo, and serpent, which is doubled since there are two roosters).  Somehow my life has been somewhat on the edge ever since I could recall. I always felt something is not quite right somewhere. Life seems to be tough on me the last thrity years. Am I lucky to have such a chart configuration, or is it just too good to be true. Please help out to understand the chart a little bit more.  Thanks.

best regards,

red

ANSWER: Hi Red,

Yes, you do have a great chart. You might also want to know your elements have a nice balance, Metal being your strength. It is associated with determination, a fighting spirit, and working with money.

One thing you should know about the Snake. It is a karmic sign. I mean that in the sense you are destined to experience high highs and low lows in your life. In other words, yours is likely to be a roller coaster pattern.

From the tone of your question, you have been in one of those low periods. All I can say is take heart and be optimistic. You should have plenty of opportunities if you don't give up or become depressed.

You should also know your Metal time of life is in Retirement. That is the time you will experience your greatest chi, i.e., energy/life force. You should be a lot better off in that regard than most of your peers.

Unfortunately that means you may have to work harder to achieve your goals doing your working years. Still, with your chart and a wise choice of career and long term relationship, you should do well. If you'd like, you can ask one follow up question. I would recommend it have something to do with relationships.

Thank u for your question.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Greetings Sir Bill,

Thankyou for your enlightening opinion about the chart. This follow up question has something to do with the relationship of my animal branches. As I have mentioned, I have a yin fire snake year, a yin water buffalo month, a yin water rooster day, an a yin metal rooster hour. I had read that these three signs make up the "metal harmony triangle"; however, I have two roosters in my chart, which is said to be a self-penalizing sign. How does this contribute to the over-all structure of the chart? I hope that it is not really a "crippling penalty" with regards to the two roosters. Please give your opinion about this issue. Thankyou once more. More power to you.

Sincerely,

red

Answer
Hi Red,

I do not want to say having a double Rooster is a "crippling penalty."

On the other hand it does present some challenges.

First, because you have two of the same sign, both your strengths and weaknesses are multiplied. This makes you vulnerable---to flattery, vanity, and overconfidence to name a few. You may also have a tendency to argue too much and to nitpick, that is, quibble over details too much.

Second, Rooster is not the easiest sign with which to get along. Thus, having a double Rooster can make achieving and maintaining successful relationships more than a little challenging. It is up to you to develop a spirit of humility, hold down any tendency to argue, and work at making compromises.

The double Rooster can work for or against you. Although I just focused on the negatives, your positives are also strengthened. It is up to you to make the effort as to which will triumph and guide your behavior. You are likely to be either very successful or disappointed with such a strong chart.

Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 20 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I can't answer questions about when a particular event will occur, when/if your life will change, or what your spouse is going to be/look like. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life. I evaluate specific relationships or can look at your love life in general. I can tell you your best career choices and whether the one you've chosen is good for you. And, I can identify the strong and weak times in your life. I've done work for Yahoo, astrology.com and onlinechineseastrology.com.

Experience

I've studied Chinese astrology for over 20 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. I've also done Nine Star Ki and readings using Mah Jong tiles. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.
