I'm trying to better understand how all my personal results add up as a whole:

So far, I am to understand that I am a Snake which is "naturally?" ruled by fire, but born in an "Earthy?" year. More still, I am born within the "Ox hour?", and metal seems to be my "Lucky?" element.

What does this say about me as a person?

You were born during the year of the Earth Snake, month of the Fire Rabbit, day of the Earth Dragon and hour of the Water Ox.

You have managed to ask many question in one, a comprehensive answer running to as much as a 100 page. What I will do is tell you the two most important things i see about your chart.

Ox is the sign most likely to choose the wrong guy. In your case this is critical, as your combination of signs is likely to lead you into a fatal attraction. The two best matches for Snake normally are Ox and Dragon. But, Ox clashes terribly with your Dragon day sign, and Rooster is absolutely horrible with Rabbit. Sheep is another good match for Snake but is horrible with your Ox hour sign. About the only sign that may be safe (though not outstanding) for you is Rabbit, two years older or 10 years younger than you. You should always get an outside opinion from someone you trust and who is wise before committing yourself.

Second, your elements are unbalanced. You have a lot of Wood and Earth in your chart but no Metal and little Water. Metal is lucky for you in the sense you do need to surround yourself with it to help compensate for your shortfall, for example, wearing gold jewelry. Metal is also associated with money.
