Question
QUESTION: Hi Bill, I was born on the 12/01/1990. I am currently struggling to find my path in a field in which i should study. I am very confused and dived into doing commerce for first year this year. I am contemplating changing this degree, but am at a loss of what i should do?

ANSWER: Hi,

Before I answer your question I need to make sure of the date. Is your birthday January 12th or December 1st?

Send me a follow up with that info, and I will be happy to answer your question.

QUESTION: Im sorry i wasnt clear. My birthday is on the 12th of January 1990. Could i please add that what i am contemplating to change to is psychology. However i am not sure whether this profession could bring me wealth or satisfaction. Thank you:)

ANSWER: Hi Yi,

You were born during the year of the Earth Snake, month of the Fire Ox and day of the Fire Ox.

Your chart shows you are lacking Metal, the element most closely associated with commerce, which supports a change.

You have sufficient Water (communications and scholarship), Fire (charisma) and Earth (practicality) for a career in Psychology.

For you Wealth is associated with Water, indicating the best way to make money is in a career field involving communications, interpersonal relations, academia or travel. This combination is compatible with a career as a psychologist or teacher (of psychology).

Psychology is likely to provide you both more money and satisfaction than commerce.

QUESTION: Sorry Bill id just like to clarify what you said. As psychology is a form of health care, and i lack the wood element, wouldnt psychology then become a bad choice?

Answer
Hello Yi,

First, I have to say you only gave me three of the four pillars (year, month and day, but not hour of birth). I can't always make a determination with only 75% of the data.

I did not say you "lack the Wood element." Rather, I wrote you lack the Metal element. With knowing only three signs I was able to make a definite comment about Fire, Earth and Water as well.

The issue is with Wood. From what I know, you do have a below average amount of Wood in your chart. There is, however, a 60% chance you have Wood in your fourth pillar (time of birth). This is why I supported psychology.

From what I know now, I would say psychology appeals more to you because it is intellectually interesting and stimulating than that it provides an opportunity to serve humanity. There is nothing wrong with this. If psychology is your passion, you will do a lot to help humanity, even if that isn't your primary motivation.

I apologize for the lack of clarity in my first post. I just don't feel most people want to go into these technical details.

Thank you for your question.

Expertise

Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 20 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I can't answer questions about when a particular event will occur, when/if your life will change, or what your spouse is going to be/look like. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life. I evaluate specific relationships or can look at your love life in general. I can tell you your best career choices and whether the one you've chosen is good for you. And, I can identify the strong and weak times in your life. I've done work for Yahoo, astrology.com and onlinechineseastrology.com.

Experience

I've studied Chinese astrology for over 20 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. I've also done Nine Star Ki and readings using Mah Jong tiles. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.
