Hi.

I was hoping you could tell me what to look for in a chart that would give indicators of talents that the owner may possess? Also, what positions should I look for for the career of a writer?

For talents, look at the 5th harmonic.

For a writer, look for strong mercury/3rd house, Neptune helps when it is more a creative writing, Pluto when we are talking about mysteries/thriller, and Uranus can set you apart... And a well aspected/strong venus is good to have for all creative careers.
