Astrology/Full Lunar Eclipse on Birthday?

Question
QUESTION: Thanks for taking the time to answer my question!

I was born on Dec 31, 1982 in Los Angeles, California at 3:35pm.
I just read that this year I will have a full moon lunar eclipse on my birthday.  What does that mean for me?  Is this a good thing or a bad thing (or both or neither?)  During the last eclipse (July 7), I had a romantic relationship end that I did not want to end.  Does it have anything to do with that?  Since the eclipse seemed to have brought something bad, I am a little nervous about this one, so I want to know what to expect.
I really appreciate any insight you can give me, I really appreciate it!  Thanks!

ANSWER: Emily,

An eclipse does mean crisis, amd its impact will affect your life during the following 5 months.

The December eclipse will occur in your 1st/7th houses, which indicate an emphasis on your relationships.

The 1st house is our sense of self, who we are as an individual. When an eclipse occur in the first house, it will trigger a time of personal growth, even if the circumstances might originally seem stressful. This will also affect your relationships as a consequence, and the way you project yourself to other people.

The July 15 eclipse was at 15 degrees of Capricorn, I like to use tighter orbs, 2 degrees at the most. I wouldn't consider it as conjunct your Sun. But it might acted as a trigger since it did happen in your 7th house...

Good luck!

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Thanks for your answer!  Just a quick follow-up question...you say eclipses mean crisis - so this eclipse will result in something bad?  It couldn't result in a reconciliation with this relationship?  I'm also thinking of having facial cosmetic surgery during this time, since there's this eclipse, should I not have it during this time?  It made me wonder since the eclipse effects personal growth.  Thanks so much for your help!

Answer
Crisis doesn't necessarily mean something bad long term wise, but it is a re-definition if you wish... Now that you cleared up the relationship area - 7th - you are given an opportunity for personal growth.

This doesn't mean there is no possibility for reconcialation.  For this, you would need to do a full composite/synastry analysis, as well as studying the transits.

I wouldn't do a surgery on the day of the eclipse.  Go instead for a time when the ruler of your 6th is well aspected by the Sun, Venus or Jupiter.  Watch out also for Mars and Mars Rx...

I hope everything goes well,
T.
