Question
Which is more significant in a relationship, platonic or otherwise: A tight orb conjunction of the North Node and the Sun or a tight orb conjunction of the South Node and Asc? I have this configuration with a platonic male friend of mine and I was wondering if these placements are at odds with each other...on one hand the North node connection should have a progressive 'feel' to it and the South node, "a been there done that" karmic feel. Which one should be felt more? I also have a tight venus-chiron conjunction with this person so there's a real 'karmic' feel to this friend, sometimes feels too heavy if that makes any sense. I guess Im just wondering if the Sun-NN conj. is a more powerful connection than the ASC-SN connection, in any relationship. I know everything works in concert with each other but which is more prevalent?

Answer
Shelly,

Saying that the SN conjuncts the AC means that the NN conjuncts the DC, which is obviously very positive for relationships... The important thing here is that the Nodes conjunct the AC/DC axis, indicating a potential lifelong lasting bond.

Also, when looking at synastries, the effect is felt differently by the Sun person and by the NN person.  It is not a single experience shared by two people.  Same for your Venus-Chiron conjunction, it depends who is Chiron and who is Venus...

Good luck,
T.
