Question
hi, i am currently engaged to a woman with whom i get along very well, personally, but i am concerned about our day-to-day life and the ways in which we'll handle family-related and financial stress.

our dates are
me-aug 11 75
her-sept 9 77

from what i can tell, it seems like we have very high compatability in the day and year, but our month compatability is very low.  is this correct?  can you give any advice for overcominig any weak points in the compatability?

thanks very much!
j

Answer
J,

You were born during the year of the Wood Rabbit, month of the Wood Monkey and day of the Earth Ox.

She was born during the year of the Fire Snake, month of the Earth Monkey and day of the Earth Snake.

I don't know to what system you are referring, but according to Chinese Astrology your month compatibility is high. In fact your overall compatibility is 86%, which is extremely high. This match has a great chance of lasting and bringing you the happiness you seek.

As for handling daily life, you have a lot of Earth in your charts, so you should be able to take care of the practical matters without too much trouble.

Going through difficult times could, however, be a challenge as there isn't that much Metal in your two charts. Also, there isn't much Water, which means your communications may not always be sufficient to get you through misunderstandings without straining the relationship.

She has a lot more Fire than you do, so she could be more temperamental and let her emotions get the best of her to a greater degree than you do.

As to what you can do, there's the superficial Chinese technique of adding more of the missing elements to your life. You might want to have a table top fountain or an aquarium in your home. It also would help to normally wear one or two pieces of Metal (gold) jewelry.

It would be helpful for her to take a speech course and even join a speaker's club to improve her communications skills. It might be best if you could do that together.

As for the shortage of Metal, that is more difficult. It is impossible to change who you both are. I can't really say how you can increase your determination, persistence, and fighting spirit. Perhaps it's enough to understand it could be a shortcoming and focus on making an extra effort to improve in this area if it is problem for one or both of you.

Expertise

Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 20 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I can't answer questions about when a particular event will occur, when/if your life will change, or what your spouse is going to be/look like. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life. I evaluate specific relationships or can look at your love life in general. I can tell you your best career choices and whether the one you've chosen is good for you. And, I can identify the strong and weak times in your life. I've done work for Yahoo, astrology.com and onlinechineseastrology.com.

Experience

I've studied Chinese astrology for over 20 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. I've also done Nine Star Ki and readings using Mah Jong tiles. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.
