QuestionI was told that i have Neptune in Scorpio in my birth chart, what exactly does that mean, I know that Scorpio is the sixth house, but what does the combination of the two mean exactly.
AnswerAll the planets have an influence on your chart, but the outer planets have less of an influence because of the sign they are in than the more personal planets. Neptune takes roughly 180 years to go through the zodiac, meaning its time is a sign is significant, so it becomes more important as a generation planet than a personal planet, at least by sign. But Neptune is very important in the natal chart as that is "your" Neptune so the house its in and the contacts it makes with other planets becomes personal.
On a generational level the Neptune in Scorpio time was the time of free love, its was the sixties with the sexual revolution in full bloom, it was also the time of sex, drugs, rock and roll, all very Neptunian things. Neptune dissolves boundaries, so the boundaries in these areas were forever lowered and changed, our entire consciousness of how we feel about these things was changed.
For your own chart you want to take the meaning of the sixth house, the main areas its rules are, your work environment, health, or what you do or do not do to keep yourself healthy, your coworkers, and your day to day activity's. Whatever house Neptune falls in is a house were you are learning lessons about boundaries as well as responsibility, since Neptune really hates the mundane things in life. So Neptune in the sixth can indicate things like a need to keep boundaries clear with coworkers, as not doing so can leave you open to being misunderstood, not treated well, not always doing things that are in your best interest. It also suggests you are careful about what you eat and drink as your body is very sensitive, I have noticed that people with Neptune in the sixth often have a compromised immune system, because of this they are very open to picking up infectious diseases. Its also not uncommon to have vague or unusual health issues that are misdiagnosed.
You also want to look and see what types of aspect Neptune makes to other planets and what house it rules to have a more in dept look at the planet.
Hope this has help clarify your Neptune a little.
