Question
this year mercury went direct by progression is there any significance in this change?  it has been retrograde for 24 years.

Answer
One of the more important times in a persons life on an astrological leave is when a planet goes, retrograde, direct or changes sign by direction or progression.  I usually means you can access the energy of that planet.
