Hi,

I would like to know does having Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all in Capricorn first house dominate my ascendant sign, which is Sagittarius. If it depends on how strong my ascendant or the planets, how do you determine whether they are strong influence or not?

That is a question hard to answer with the bounds of just this question. Everything in Astrology, is dependant on everything else.  The planets in Capricorn have a definite influence, what you want to look at is where is Jupiter the ruler of your chart located, what types of aspects does it make to the planets in the first, are the planet in the first conjunct the Ascendant or towards the end of the house, the closer to the ascendant the more influence they have.  In general Capricorn qualities with a Sagittarius ascendant indicates someone with a great outlook on life, looks at everything as an adventure and a sense that anything can be accomplished, the planets can keep you grounded, help you put all your ideas into action it can be a wonderful combination.  If the planets are not well aspect or make harsh aspects to your chart ruler, you may be held back, you don't get cooperation from people, your often left to your own devices, that does not mean you can't do what you want to do, it just means its a little frustrating.  so you have to take everything into account and then combine the meanings.
