Dear Bill,

I want to ask you about the compatibility between myself and my partner.
My birthdate is March 1st 1978 and his birthdate is March 26th 1972.  I am
worried from my reading that the Earth horse and water rat compatibility is
initially good but then becomes disastrous.  My hour of birth is 0400AM but
we do not know his birth hour.

I would really appreciate your expert opinion because this has been a
wonderful relationship to date but it is early, only 2 months and I am hopeful
but having read what I've read, it's been slightly disappointing and I am
hoping you might find something encouraging which I haven't discovered.

It's true that opposites attract when it comes to the Chinese Astrology signs. And, yes, it can be very good in the beginning. Unfortunately, more often than not, what it is is a fatal attraction.
