Question
Dear Mr. Hajdu,
I am a Fire Rooster, dating a wonderful, quiet, accomplished, stable & kind man, an Earth Ox.  Would you please comment on the compatibility of this match, and if there are any obvious or unusual dynamics going on in our charts?

I'm still getting [slowly] my finances, stability, confidence and sanity back after a wild, litigious divorce from a Water Dragon, and I'm still quite worn down and fearful of many aspects of life --  unlike how I was before the Dragon.  My info:  born May 29, 1957, 5:08 p.m.;   my beau's birthdate is July 7, 1949 (time unknown). My ex-spouse was born on April 16, 1952.  He is unusually lucky, powerful, tricky, rich, volatile, a successful lobbyist in Washington D.C., who seems determined to litigate and rumor-mill me into the dust!  (Help!!)

Many thanks in advance --

Emmi

Answer
Hi Emmi,

You were born during the year of the Fire Rooster, month of the Fire Horse, day of the Metal Ox and hour of the Fire Rooster.

Your ex was born during the year of the Water Dragon, month of the Wood Dragon and day of the Water Dragon.

Your beau was born during the year of the Earth Ox,month of the Metal Sheep and day of the Earth Dog.

From a Chinese Astrology perspective your compatibility rating with your ex is 57% and with your beau 79%. The former is good but not great, and the latter is excellent. It has a very good chance of lasting and bringing you the happiness you seek.

Your ex is a triple Dragon, and Dragon is a sign of luck in Chinese Astrology. With three of them, your ex would be much happier with someone from his astrology group, i.e., Rat or Monkey.

You are a double Rooster, so you would also be much happier with someone from your Ox-Snake-Rooster group (but not another Rooster).

Your current match looks great, but there is one thing that could be troublesome, your element mix. You are both unbalanced. He has a lot of Earth and you a lot of Fire, leaving you short several of the other elements, specifically Wood and Water. Wood is associated with making compromises and a loving heart, while Water is for communications and interpersonal relations. You both need to make an effort in these areas to maintain harmony.

Still, this guy looks really good for you. It's a relationship certainly worth pursuing. Good luck to you.

Expertise

Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 20 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I can't answer questions about when a particular event will occur, when/if your life will change, or what your spouse is going to be/look like. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life. I evaluate specific relationships or can look at your love life in general. I can tell you your best career choices and whether the one you've chosen is good for you. And, I can identify the strong and weak times in your life. I've done work for Yahoo, astrology.com and onlinechineseastrology.com.

Experience

I've studied Chinese astrology for over 20 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. I've also done Nine Star Ki and readings using Mah Jong tiles. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.
