Hi Bill,

Thanks for taking my question.  I was wondering how the elements in Chinese astrology impacts the personality?  Like for me, I have two water and one wood and my sig. other has two wood and one water.  How important a role do the elements play in determining your personality traits?  Thanks again and cheerio.

Elements play an important role, just as significant as the animal signs.

Actually I would have to see your complete charts to properly analyze your overall element balance. I can say all this: Water and Wood are good for interpersonal relationships. Water is in fact associated with interpersonal relationships in general and communications in particular. And, Wood is associated with a caring heart and a willingness to compromise. These are all great traits in creating and maintaining a harmonious relationship.

One more thing. In Chinese Astrology the elements have a constructive and destructive relationship with each other. Water and Wood fall into the constructive cycle. As in nature where Water nourishes Wood, so is it in Chinese Astrology.
