Astrology/Metal Monkey and Fire Tiger :/

Question
Hi there! I am a Cancer Fire Tiger born July 7 1986 at 3:59 pm and I met a really really great guy on e-harmony and we are hitting it off so well. I cant remember the last time I liked someone so much. There is one problem and I am wondering if I should even pursue this guy mostly because of the aweful reports and such that I have read online. Everything I have read says that we are destined to fail miserably. He was born August 13 1980 making him a Leo Metal Monkey. I would like to add the fact that we both have a cat in our zodiac. Me being the Tiger and him being the Leo. Im not sure if this has any relevance but there are cat-like qualities that we seem to share if that makes any sense. Please help! I want to know if I should give this a go or leave it alone.
Thanks so much!

Elise

Answer
Hi Elise,

You were born during the year of the Fire Tiger, month of the Wood Sheep and day of the Water Rat.

He was born during the year of the Metal Monkey, month of the Wood Monkey and day of the Earth Horse.

From a Chinese Astrology perspective this match has a 9% favorable, compatibility rating, which is extremely low. To be honest, there isn't much chance of this relationship lasting and bringing you the happiness you seek.

He's a double Monkey, which means he's likely to be into mind games that will drive you crazy. The positive is he's probably very charming and witty and enjoys to make you laugh/happy.

By the way, that 9% is based on all three of your signs. His Horse day sign is also the worst possible match for your Rat.

It's interesting, looking at "cross signs", that his Horse sign is a great match for your Tiger. This exemplifies my what will be my conclusion. This relationship looks like a classic case of fatal attraction. He has some great qualities and is very appealing to you, but in the long run he is likely to weigh on your mind and cause you distress. This is also highlighted by thoughts of your Sheep sign. You have a gentle side that requires stroking and emotional support. None of his signs are compatible with Sheep, so he is not likely to satisfy your needs in that area.

You would probably be better off with someone born in the year of the Pig or Dragon.

Expertise

Chinese Astrology. I`ve done Chinese astrology for over 20 years, pimary experience Ming Shu style. I am NOT a psychic. I can't answer questions about when a particular event will occur, when/if your life will change, or what your spouse is going to be/look like. I do comment on relationships, career, personality analysis and life cycle chi, i.e., energy level and influences at each of the five stages of life. I evaluate specific relationships or can look at your love life in general. I can tell you your best career choices and whether the one you've chosen is good for you. And, I can identify the strong and weak times in your life. I've done work for Yahoo, astrology.com and onlinechineseastrology.com.

Experience

I've studied Chinese astrology for over 20 years now and done several thousand charts. My specialty is four pillars method, particularly as applied to evaluating relationships. I've also done Nine Star Ki and readings using Mah Jong tiles. My next step is to learn Purple Star astrology. It identifies many more chart details, but accurate readings are time consuming and dependent upon a lifetime of acquired experience.
