QuestionQUESTION: Hi Bill,
I was born on April 7, 1984 at 7:30pm.
My fiance was born on April 4, 1976 at 7:25am.
Our wedding will be on Sunday, August 15, 2010.
What are the strengths and weaknesses in our relationship?
Is this a good date for us to get married?
Thanks!
Jennifer
ANSWER: Hi Jennifer,
You have asked several questions in one; let me take the time sensitive one for now. If you'd like, you can ask a follow question about your relationship.
Unfortunately Sunday, August 15, 2010 is the day of the Fire Rooster (Cock Fights) and is considered an inauspicious day to get married. Actually there is rather a string of unlucky days in August, so I can't even suggest a date close to the 15th.
From a Chinese Astrology perspective, it would be better if you picked a different date.
According to Chinese Astrology this match has a 33% favorable, compatibility rating, which is significantly below average.
As I said, you are welcome to ask a follow up question. I'd suggest you should do what you can to try to improve your odds of success. I highly recommend, for example, Shelly Wu's Chinese Sexual Astrology. Also, please visit my web site, www.onlinechineseastrology.com. QUESTION: Hi Bill,
Thanks for your reply.
I am a little sad to learn that my fiance and I have such a low compatibility rating. We get along well and seem to complement one another. I am in love with him, and want to do whatever I can to make this relationship work. Would you please tell me what you can read into our relationship and suggest ways to improve our odds of success. Thanks!
Jennifer
AnswerHi Jennifer,
You were born during the year of the Wood Rat, month of the Earth Dragon, day of the Metal Sheep and hour of the Earth Dog (it would be Fire Rooster if you gave me daylight savings time).
He was born during the year of the Fire Dragon, month of the Water Dragon, day of the Fire Dog and hour of the Water Dragon (it would be Metal Rabbit if you gave me daylight savings time).
First let me say the time issue is a non issue as far as your compatibility, since a 12 hour difference is the worst possible in Chinese Astrology, regardless of the signs.
The good news is your Rat year sign is a great match for his Dragon year and months signs. There is thus a lot of good in this match. You could be lucky and be in the 33% that make it rather than the 67% that fail.
I did give u three things to do to increase your odds of success. Think about changing the date; get Shelly's book, and get my full report. If you don't want to spend any money, you can still Google the signs and learn the good and the bad. I already noted the best. The worst is the match of Dog and Dragon. In fact he has an inner conflict since he has two Dragon signs to go with his Dog sign. This could make him unpredictable and lead to self doubt or at least confusion when his Dragon pulls him one way and his Dog the exact opposite. Also, your Sheep day sign doesn't go that well with any of his signs.
So, learn more about your differences and the kinds of problems that could come up. As long as you can successfully deal with those issues, remember the good that exists, be understanding with each other, and make compromises as needed, you could make this work. I'm just saying it won't be easy and not saying success is impossible.
Good luck to you.
p.s. You might think about subscribing to the Chinese Almanac and consult it in the future when you have to set an important date.
